paul mariani
Paul Mariani is the author of sixteen books, including six volumes of poetry (most recently Deaths and Transfigurations), five biographies, two collections of essays, and a spiritual memoir, Thirty Days: On Retreat with the Exercises of St. Ignatius. He has been awarded fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, a National Endowment for the Humanities, and a National Endowment for the Arts. He was Distinguished University Professor at the University of Massachusetts from 1968 until 2000, and currently holds a chair in poetry at Boston College.
