IEEE Student Chapter

Students in the Electrical and Computer Engineering concentration also have an opportunity to participate in the largest professional organization in the world.   The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE), is an organization that is at the forefront of research and design in most of the high-tech applications today.  Students who are members of the Calvin IEEE Student Chapter have opportunities to network with others about topics in electrical engineering and computer engineering, as well as participate in group activities.  These group activities include tours of different businesses in the engineering field, and seminars on topics relating to electrical/computer engineering. In addition to that, students who are members of the national society will receive an IEEE Spectrum and an IEEE Potentials magazine with a membership.  Finally, being a member of the IEEE Student Chapter shows perspective employers that you are serious about your field and that you are in tune with the latest events in the field... not to mention a membership to IEEE also looks great on a resume!  Join today!
