Lindsay Arnold Design Process

Lindsay is a native of Naperville, IL, a suburb of Chicago. She will graduate in May 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a Chemical concentration and a second major in Chemistry. She has been an intern at Argonne National Laboratory for the past two summers doing research in the X-ray Science Division and the Chemical Science and Engineering Division. After graduation, Lindsay will pursue a doctorate degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

 

Jeff Christians

Design Process

Jeff is a native of Grand Rapids and was married in August of 2009 to Allison Weima Christians. He will be graduating in May 2010 with a Bachelors in Chemistry and a Bachelors in Engineering with a Chemical concentration. This summer of 2009 he did research with Professor Benson in the Chemistry Department on molecular biosensors. In past years he held a position at Delphi Automotive in the quality control laboratory. After graduation Jeff will be continuing his education at the University of Notre Dame as a doctoral student in the department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.

 

 

Diane Esquivel

Design Process

Diane is from El Salvador and came to Calvin to pursue a degree in Engineering with a Chemical concentration. She will also be completing requirements for an engineering international concentration. After graduation, she is looking into a full time job position, preferably in the polymers and material sciences industry. This past summer she interned at Boehringer Ingelheim in Germany and worked mainly on the development in the synthesis of the API of Hepatitis C. Previously, she worked with the extrusion and injection molding of polymers at ViChem in Michigan.

 

Andrew Huizenga

Design Process

Andrew currently resides in Holland, MI with his wife and two kids. He will be completing a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a Chemical concentration in May. He holds a degree in BioMedical Health Science and a minor in Chemistry from Grand Valley State University. He also is employed at Amway, in the process engineering department, and will continue working there after graduation.
