Colin is originally from Wheaton, Il and is completing a BSE in Engineering with a Civil concentration. He has had two internships with cities in the past, in Glen Ellyn, IL and Kentwood, MI. He enjoys ultimate frisbee and other outdoor sports with friends. When he graduates he hopes to pursue a career in the "wet side" of civil engineering.
Michael De Kock grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. He enjoys spending time outdoors snowboarding and hiking to lakes and overlooks. At Calvin College, Michael is studying to be a Civil Engineer with an environmental focus. In the future, he would like to be involved in designing water distribution systems, storm water systems, drinking water facilities, and waste water facilities. Michael is looking towards applying these specific interests on projects for developing communities. After graduation he plans to join the Navy and will manage the logistics of engineering problems & operations.
Britton is a senior civil/environmental engineering major from Mentor, Ohio. He loves to be outdoors hiking, climbing, or doing anything high adventure! This past summer he worked for Black & Veatch as a field engineer/inspector. B&V does the design and inspection of the combined sewer overflow projects and the sewer improvement projects in downtown Grand Rapids. After graduation, Britton will be working with B&V in Grand Rapids as a
site construction engineer.
Nicole Ryan is from Chestnut Ridge, NY. She is interested in the field of structural engineering but enjoys learning all aspects of engineering. Nicole has gained work experience through her summer internships and LAN Associates in Midland Park, NJ and RND Services Inc. in Nyack, NY. This experience included, hands on field training, site assessments, drafting and design, and web site devlopement. Nicole plans on pursuing a career in the field of Civil engineering upon graduation from Calvin College.
