CellSync is a device aimed at integrating cell phone and landline technologies creating a system that can replace home or office phone systems. CellSync allows for phone functionality using handsets currently available on the market as landline based phones through the cell phone. This product can be successful as cell phone use increases and the need for landlines decrease along with a decrease in the cost of cell phone use. While similar devices exist on the market, we aim to include additional phone functionality from the handsets and generally improve interconnectivity between cell and land phones while decreasing product costs.

The team has chosen to implement the design through a Private Branch Exchange (PBX). This will be done using a computer running the open source Asterisk software with a telephone interface card and a Bluetooth adapter. Here is a working flow chart of how it will work.
