We have created a block diagram and can be seen in the "Design" link below. We have contacted some rapid prototyping companies and are waiting to hear from them. Budget considerations and gantt chart are being produced. Researching feasability of making our own capacitative sensing buttons. Initial CAD drawing complete.

The team may decide to store the files on a temporary drive in WAV format. If this happens, the audio will be compressed after recording, or not in real time. We have reciveed offers from multiple companies for free rapid prototyping and are researching production costs for casing. The team has also received $350 worth of products from PCBExpress.com. We have a meeting with an industrial consultant on November 15 for project review.

We are currently in the process of designing, ordering, and populating our printed circuit board. We are also finishing the code that will run on the USB Host microprocessor and that will bring the audio data into the microprocessor and append it to the end of the currently recording file. We have procurred the majority of our components either through purchasing them or ordering small quantities as samples and we are anxious to put the system together as a whole.
