Senior Design 03-04: Team 7

Requirements:

In order for this project to be considered a success there are several requirements that must be realized. These requirements include the necessary measurements, cost limitations, time constraints, spatial and weight limitations, flexibility and that the equipment be robust to variation and perform a repeatable process.

Measurements:

The 5 necessary measurements as required by DynaTorque are
1. Outside Diameter
2. Whole Depth
3. Throat Diameter
4. Twist
5. Addendum

Weight and Size Constraints:

The weight and size-limiting factor is the size and weight capacity of the table our device will be set on. The device must be large enough to measure the largest gear required by DynaTorque. It is our desire to limit the devise size and weight so that is may be moved relatively easily by two or three people.

Cost:

Calvin College provided us with $500 for our project. DynaToruqe has offered to machine parts if needed, which will lower our cost. It is our goal, however, to complete the project within the $500 budget provided by Calvin.
