Engineering Day at Calvin - April 12, 2013

Join us for Fridays at Calvin with a special twist—a day of events designed for students considering a major in Engineering. You'll meet Calvin students and faculty, sit in on classes in your area of interest and get to know others who are also interested in learning more about Engineering.

Detailed Schedule for the Engineering Day at Calvin

8:00 a.m.	Early Bird Tour - Explore campus with a Calvin student	Admissions Office
8:45 a.m.	Opening Session - Welcome and General Overview of Calvin	Prince Conference Center
10:00 a.m.	Chapel	Chapel
10:30 a.m.	Detailed Program Overview with Prof. L. De Rooy, Engineering Department Chair, and Prof.Nielsen, Prof. of Engineering Design
11:30 a.m.	Students: Class visits - suggested options: TBA
12:30 p.m.	Lunch with Engineering Faculty and students	Chapel Undercroft
TBA	Panel Discussion with current engineering students and alumni . Find out why they chose the Calvin Engineering program. This time will conclude with a brief tour of the engineering labs in the Science Building.	TBA
2:30 p.m.	ENGR 339 -- Senior Design - Talk with current seniors about their experience at Calvin and get an up close look at their team design project so far.	Engineering Building
3:30 p.m.	Four Options - 1. Campus Tour for anyone who didn't take the Early Bird Tour (Begins in the Lobby of the Engineering Bldg.) 2. request an individual meeting with an engineering faculty member-- send e-mail request to engineering@calvin.edu 3. Connect with a host of an overnight visit 4. Meet with Athletic coach or attend a music rehearsal
