Christians engaged in engineering education or other engineering activities are invited to gather for a time of discussion, learning, reflection, and fellowship on June 24-25, 2004, at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Fifth Christian Engineering Education Conference (CEEC) is planned to immediately follow the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) conference (June 20-23 ). We will seek to deepen our insights and strengthen our collective outreach and witness as we engage in structured conversations about Christian engineering education and the engineering profession. The program will be a diverse mix of presented papers and panel discussions on a variety of topics relating Christian faith and engineering. Before we commit non-refundable deposits for the location, we need a rough idea of how many people will attend. We expect that the cost of the conference (including lodging, meals, registration, etc.) will be slightly over $100. Please, PLEASE send email to svleest@calvin.edu and indicate which of the following best reflects your current plans (do not send your reply back to the listserv). 1) I definitely plan on attending CEEC at Salt Lake City. There is very little chance I would change my mind. 2) I am very interested in attending. I am tentatively planning on coming. 3) I want to hear more, but don't count me in yet. 4) I probably won't come, but keep me posted in case I change my mind. 5) I will not be attending. If you would be willing to volunteer some of your time to help plan and organize the conference, or perhaps serve as a reviewer, please let us know. A separate call for papers will be issued next month, so start thinking of ideas you might like to present. Also, please forward this email to others who are not on the listserv, but that you believe would be interested in the conference.
