Educational background

Calvin College, BSE 2004
M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, 2006

Mr. Schoofs graduated from Calvin with a B.S.E. in 2004. He completed his M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, studying at the Lorraine campus in France.  While studying in France, he earned an engineering diploma at the School of Electronics, Computer Science, Hydraulics, and Telecommunications (ENSEEIHT) in Toulouse, France. 

Professional experience

Prior to coming to Calvin Mr. Schoofs worked for Boston Scientific in Minneapolis as a Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for electronic components used for pacemakers and defibrillators.  His previous work includes cockpit systems design for Airbus, SIM card marketing for Gemalto, and public policy research with IEEE-USA.
