Libraries are spending thousands of dollars doing menial tasks like sorting books.
This type of task is done by minimum wage employees and is very repetitive.
The repetetitive nature of sorting books can be very monotonous and boring for employees and it
makes sorting books an ideal task to be automated.
There are several products on the market that attempt to automate the book sorting task, but they are either very large, custom systems, or small scaled systems that don't fulfill the space and accuracy requirements of public libraries.
This project seeks to be able to sort books onto 30 to 35 shelves in a way that can be expanded or shrunk to fit into any public library.
