Students must be approved by the Education Department, the major department, and the minor department before being allowed to student teach.

If you are denied permission to student teach, you may follow the
appeal procedures.

Fingerprinting Requirements for all student teachers:

Fingerprinting Registration Instructions will be sent prior to your student teaching semester.

End of Semester Exit Surveys: All student teachers are required to complete two exit surveys. Please check your email near the end of the semester for directions and links to the surveys.

Teacher Commissioning Ceremony
Teacher Education graduates and scholarship/award recipients are recognized annually at the Teacher Commissioning Ceremony, typically held on the Friday evening preceding Calvin's commencement ceremony in May.

Seniors: If you are interested in being a part of the planning process for the Teacher Commissioning Ceremony, please notify the Teacher Certification Coordinator.
