Financial Aid

Students with financial need may be eligible for assistance, such as Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans, and TEACH Grants.

Graduates who teach in high need areas may have all or part of the Stafford Loan or Perkins Loan cancelled.

Contact the Scholarships and Financial Aid Office for details.

Scholarships

The Scholarships and Financial Aid Office provides a searchable database with information about financial assistance.

The Education Department offers over 35 named scholarships in order to provide financial assistance to students in the Teacher Education Program. All students who are eligible are encouraged to apply.

You may apply for scholarships in January, 2010.

To apply, access your KnightVision account, go to the “Resources” tab, Student Scholarships and Financial Aid section, and Upperclass Named Scholarships Application. Please read the application instructions carefully.

NOTE: If you are only applying for the education named scholarships, the application is only 2 pages. Be sure to check the box for Education Scholarships. If you also applying for other named scholarships at the same time, the application is much longer.

After applying, you will automatically be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible (you will not need to apply for specific scholarships). Award amounts may vary from what is listed in the catalog.

Applications are due in March, 2010.
