Programs - Majors and Minors
Elementary Education Majors and Minors
Some majors and minors are available for K-12, secondary, or elementary only. See each specific program for details. All elementary education students select either a major and a planned minor OR two minors and a planned minor. The planned minor is made up of elementary education courses which all students must complete.

* Bilingual Education, Early Childhood Education, ESL and Special Education are all endorsement programs that prepare students to teach in specialized classroom settings. Students need to meet with advisors from these programs as soon as possible in order to do efficient planning.
Secondary Education Majors and Minors
Please note: some majors and minors are available for K-12, secondary, or elementary only. See each specific program for details. Secondary education students select a major and a minor OR a comprehensive major of at least 50 semester hours. Secondary candidates must select a major from the list below, but the minor may be in a non-certifiable subject (any minor offered at Calvin).
