Education Department

Dr. Arden Ruth Post taught Education 326, Reading and Language Arts in the Elementary School. A highlight of this course was working on various aspects of literacy with fourth and fifth graders at Alexander School in Grand Rapids. Dr. Post received her doctorate from the University of Cincinnati where her fields of study were literacy and special education. She has been involved in education at the elementary, middle school, and high school level and has served as a remedial reading teacher and a resource teacher. She has published two books, God’s Pencils and Celebrating Children’s Choices: 25 Years of Children’s Favorite Books.
