Elementary Education Program

Students in the Elementary Education Program earn certification in grades K–5, all subjects, and grades 6-8 in their major and minor subject areas. An early childhood endorsement is also available for grades PreK–K.

Secondary Education Program

Students in the Secondary Education Program are certified to teach their major and minor subject areas in grades 6–12. Art, Chinese, music, PE, Spanish and French are also available for grades K–12 on a secondary teaching certificate.

Special Education Program

Students in the Special Education program complete the Elementary Education Program with a special education major. Graduates earn K–5 teacher certification as a general education teacher and a K–12 endorsement to teach students with cognitive impairments.

Early Childhood Education Program

Students in the Early Childhood major, situated within the Elementary Education Program, are well prepared for careers teaching K-5th grade as well as a specialized early childhood endorsement to work with infants through 2nd graders, including those with special needs.
