Assistant Professor of Economics
Returning to Calvin College after four years teaching sixth grade at Oakdale Christian School, Professor DeVries has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame. He teaches a variety of micro- and macro-economic courses at the principles and intermediate level. His research focuses on international economic institutions, such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. In his spare time, Professor DeVries is an avid fisherman.
