Each season, we offer a four week series of programs designed for children aged 3-6 (the critters), and their caregivers (the company), to explore nature together. Experience the topic of the day through discovery hikes, stories, games, songs, nature art projects, and puppet shows. Programs are led by environmental educators, and take place both in the Bunker Interpretive Center and out in the Ecosystem Preserve. Interested in what happens during a program? Check out the Apple, Ants, and Mushrooms at the Bunker article which was written about our ant class in October 2011.
Change in Program Fee
The preserve prides itself on providing families with well-developed, educational programs at reasonable rates. While we try to keep our fees to a minimum, we are no longer able to sustain the Critters & Company program at our previous rates. We appreciate your understanding of our need to cover costs in order to maintain the quality of the program.
The series fee is $20 for 1 child, or $15 per child when 2 or more children aged 3-6 years attend. This includes instruction for the seasonal series (four programs), take home discovery pages, nature art materials, and loads of fun. Younger siblings (under 3 years old) are welcome to come for free with their caregiver. Older siblings will need to purchase a ticket to attend.
