Get Involved: Youth Community Volunteers

New for Summer 2013: Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Are you between the ages of 12 and 17?  Do you like to  have fun and learn about nature at the same time?  Are you looking for a rewarding experience this summer?  Join our new Junior Volunteer Crew!  This group of teens will be actively contributing to the stewardship and camp activities happening at the Preserve.

Junior Volunteer Crew will take place during June, July & August - check back in May for schedule details. Programs take place outside in the Preserve, so volunteers should dress for the weather, wear clothing that can get dirty, wear sturdy shoes for walking the trails and working in the Preserve, and use sunscreen and bug spray. Parents: rest assured, youth volunteers will be supervised by CCEP staff.

Junior Steward Crew

If you enjoy meeting new people, getting your hands dirty, and giving back to the community, this may be the opportunity for you. Junior Stewards maintain trails, plant native species, weed, and collect seeds. Junior Steward Crew will meet once a week.

Junior Camp Crew

If you enjoy working with younger children, like to be creative, and want to enrich your leadership skills, the Junior Camp Crew may be for you. These volunteers assist our younger campers, and prepare crafts and snacks. Junior Camp Crew members will choose one week of camp in which to volunteer.
