Congregational and ministry studies
We offer two academic minors and a number of courses related to ministry studies. These programs and courses are designed to complement any major the college offers and equip you to bring your study in other areas into your ministry within the church.
Youth ministry minor
This is a seven-course interdisciplinary minor that prepares you for all types of youth ministry in church-based and parachurch organizations.
Church, society and ministry minor
This is a 22 credit-hour minor that combines classroom learning with internship experience to help you understand the role, function and contributions of Christian congregations, denominations and ministries in society. You will also learn to discern how your own gifts and interests might contribute to the mission of the church in the world.
The department offers nine courses, including youth ministry courses, two internship-related courses and a seminar in integrative studies of church, society and ministry.
