These metopes are of the Labors of Herakles and the Labors of Theseus, originating from the Treasury of the Athenians. This entablature comes from the Tholos in the temenos of Athena Pronaia and depicts the Amazonomachy and the Centauromachy.
These metopes, found in the Sikyonian Treasury, are from an earlier building, dating to the middle of the 6th century BC. They depict the mythological subjects of the Kalydonian boar, Phrixos upon the ram with the golden fleece, the Argonauts, the rape of Europa by Zeus, and the Dioskouroi with the Aphareides with raided cattle. This column, depicting dancing girls, originally supported a tripod with a bronze cauldron and was dedicated by the Athenians.
