Each September the department hosts a picnic for chemistry and biochemistry students, either on-campus or at a professor's home. This event kicks off the year with mixer games, crazy chemical experiments, and a barbeque. It's a great way to meet new classmates and professors.
Chili Cook-Off»
Who makes the best chili? Each winter our professors create their own special chili recipe which students taste-test and judge.

Senior Pizza Party»
To celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates, we host a pizza party each spring at a local restaurant. This May we also presented each student with an opportunity to leave their mark at Calvin by planting a tree on campus.
