This introductory level course introduced students to the use and comprehension of American Sign Language. Students learned how to fingerspell and use basic sign in stories and conversations. Students practiced using creative expression, classifiers, body postures, and signing space. They also investigated the social, educational, and legal issues of the Deaf Community.
