Senior Erica Beversluis (Rhetoric) has accepted an internship at the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights in Chicago this semester!
Senior Dustin Smith (Media Production), Senior Krsitin Crawford (Media Production), Junior Rachel Kuyvenhoven, and the fall 2009 CAS 222 course filmed Eating in Place, a documentary about the local food movement.
Senior Reid Coe (Business Communication) starred in Civic Theatre's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Sophomore Sam LeFurge-McLeod (Communication Arts & Sciences) recently became a certified lay speaker within the United Methodist Church.
Junior Nick Vera (Rhetoric & Communication) is a part of Calvin Video Network and he created a news show called Channel 4 News. Nick is the anchor, Freshman Megan Korber (Media Studies) is the co-anchor and Junior Alex Docekal (Media Production) is the producer. Their story made the front page of the Chimes.
Senior Nehemiah "Nemo" Chu (Media Studies) was a featured panelist at Grand Rapids' largest social media conference, Aimwest's Social Media Confab, on Nov 19, 2009. Presented alongside Google and Facebook.
Junior Brian Speelman (Computer Science) recently co-hosted and co-produced a nationally syndicated radio show while interning at Back To God Ministries International last summer.
Senior Lindsay Makowski (Media Studies) has accepted an internship for next Spring with The Grand Rapids Red Project in Eastown.
