[June 2009] Sophomores Alex Docekal and Josh Schroyer (Media Production) and '08 graduate Mike Rohlfing (Mass Media) won “Audience Choice” and “Best Sound Editing” in St. Louis.

[November 2008] Sophomore Alex Docekal (Media Production) and Senior Mike Rohlfing (Mass Media) won audience choice, best use of prop, best editing and best soundtrack at the 2008 St. Louis 48 Hour Film Festival for their film Wiped.

[March 2008] Freshman Brad Jansen (Business Communication) reports that the Motion Picture Association of America has offered him an internship opportunity working in the Executive Office in Washington D.C. for the summer. Though the internship is unpaid, he will receive college credit for his time there. The job description focuses on Communications and Public Relations and includes office support, monitoring current trends and industry news, assisting in special projects, and research.
