Background: The Nazi Party's Central Propaganda Office (the Reichspropagandaleitung ) produced a weekly poster with a quotation that could be displayed in party offices, public buildings, etc. Here are eight examples. Originally, they were issued by Gau propaganda offices, which means that before 1940, there are sometimes a variety bearing the same date. Weekly Nazi Quotation Posters The text: "National Socialism is the guarantee of victory." This poster was released in fall 1939. A quotation from Clausewitz: "The time is yours. What happens with it depends on you." (#37 for 8-14 September 1940). A common Nazi slogan : "The Führer is always right ." (#8 for 16-22 February 1941) A quotation from Adolf Hitler: "No one can get past the German soldier." (#19 for 4-10 May 1941) A quotation from Hermann Göring: "To help to defend and finish the Führer's enormous work is the happiest task and highest duty of all Germans" (#18 for 27 April - 3 May 1941) An optimistic poster from the beginning of the campaign against Russia. The caption: "You bear the banners and standards, and are the guarantee that Europe will be liberated from Bolshevism." (#31 for 27 July - 2 August 1941) This one appeared in the last half of August, when it looked like the campaign in Russia was going well: "Victory! Germany is winning on every front." (#34 for 17-23 August 1941) This quotation from Hitler's 30 January 1939 speech promises the destruction of the Jews. It appeared in September 1941, after the invasion of the Soviet Union, and during the opening stages of the Holocaust. The translation: "If International Finance Jewry should succeed once more in plunging the peoples into a world war, the result will not be the victory of Jewry, but rather the destruction of the Jewish race in Europe." (#37 for 7-13 September 1941). A quotation from Joseph Goebbels: "It was the Jews who discovered Marxism, and it is the Jews who for decades have attempted to revolutionize the world with it." (#40 for 28 September - 4 October 1941) A quotation from Hermann Göring: "Without the victory of the swastika, there would be no German army today, much less any German honor or German freedom." (#5 for 26 January - 1 February 1942) This one encourages motherhood. The translation is: "Work is an honor for the woman as is it for the man, but a child ennobles the mother." (#49 for 29 November - 5 December 1942) A quotation from Joseph Goebbels: "Only composure and a heart of bronze bring victory."
