Background: The "Pimpfs" were members of the Nazi organization for young boys, part of the Hitler Youth. This article, from Morgen, the monthly for boys aged 10-14, praises Hitler. On the facing page, there is a closeup of a stern-looking Hitler. The magazine was renamed Der Pimpf in 1937. The source: "Der Führer," Morgen, September 1935.
The FührerThe will of National Socialist state leadership is unwavering and unshakable. It knows what it wants, and wants what it knows. It has the right to this self concept, for it has behind it a time of testing that is seen only rarely in history. The state leadership of the Reich today is the leadership of the National Socialist Party. What it has accomplished in the short period of only 15 years, later generations of children of our people will learn as the "German miracle." It is therefore determined to use the power it has! It will give in or capitulate to no one! Know-it-alls and critics do not worry it. It is too late for them. Fate gave them enough time to demonstrate their abilities in the past. Either they neglected to put themselves forward, or they were incapable. Even if some mishap kept them from volunteering on the stage of world history, that can't be helped today. Two cannot stand in the same spot, and no one else can stand where we stand. The nature of German life is finally determined for the next millennium. They will understand that today no more than they did fifteen years ago. Only he who has not the slightest trace of their spirit will be able to form and shape the "German miracle" that shines on the life of our people.
