The Calvin Theatre Company

Become a member of the Calvin Theatre Company

Calvin Theatre Company members prepare for a production backstageCalvin Theatre Company is open to all students who are interested in producing excellent theatre. One does not need to be a theater major or minor to participate in CTC.

Membership in the company is determined by interview/audition, with open auditions held in September and December. Once accepted into the company, a CTC member will participate in a for-credit class and receive experience in many aspects of theatre production.

When to audition

Auditions will be held on September 4th, starting at 5:00pm. Please let us know if this time doesn't work due to other commitments - Quest has nothing scheduled at this time, so it should work for almost everybody! Again, if it does not, we would be happy to do what we can to give you an opportunity.

What to expect at the auditions

Calvin Theatre Company actors rehearseCTC auditions are held in small groups of 4-6 students. Since theatre is a collaborative art form, we begin to build relationships during the audition process.

We talk briefly about the company and answer any questions you may have. We also do a few simple physical and vocal warm-ups, and for those interested in acting, we provide you with a short monologue to read.

You do not need to prepare anything for this audition. Simply come on time, wear comfortable clothes and expect to spend about 30 minutes with us.
