Michael Page
Michael Page was born in England and attended King's College, University
of London, where he studied English Literature, and from which he holds
a Ph.D. in American Literature. He came to the U.S. in 1971 to teach at
Western Michigan University, and five years later became Associate Director
of the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, where he stayed until 1987. For the
past thirteen years since joining Actor's Equity he has been freelancing
as an actor, director, teacher, public speaking coach, and narrator and
director of audiobooks. He has performed in many theatres in Michigan
but divides his time principally between the BoarsHead Theatre in Lansing
and the Peterborough Players in New Hampshire, where he recently finished
a run of Our Town which featured James Whitmore and Mary Beth Hurt. He
has taught and/or been a guest artist/artist in residence at Ferris State
University, GVSU, Aquinas College, Hope College (where last year he performed
the title role in Lessing's Nathan the Wise), and at Calvin (the CAS production
of Translations). He is now delighted to be teaching full-time in the
CAS Department. |
