Give to a new scholarship
The James D. Korf Theatre and Media Scholarship
Colleagues, friends and former students have established this scholarship in order to honor James D. Korf, Professor of Theatre and Media at Calvin College for 39 years. During this time he worked behind the scenes in the Calvin College theatre and media areas. Jim Korf’s leadership in these areas elevated the visual world of Calvin theatre and helped establish four CAS Department media studies majors. Through the years, Korf tirelessly encouraged his students to use the media of theatre, video and film to advance the kingdom of God.
An endowment is being created in the name of this scholarship. When it reaches $25,000, the first award will be given in the amount of $1,500. Our goal is to secure additional gifts to bring the endowment to $35,000.
