The Book of the Dun Cow
Novel By Walter Wangerin, Jr.
Adapted for stage and directed by Stephanie Sandberg
In this production, Walter Wangerin's novel is adapted and directed for the stage using puppets, masks, and actors. Part fantasy, part mythology, and part animal allegory, the story explores the depths of life's joy and despair alongside the problem of evil.

Directed by Michael Page
This specially commissioned new translation by Calvin classics professor U. S. Dhuga will be the first production of a Greek play by the Calvin Theatre Company in almost 20 years.

Sunday Go to Meetin' and Other Plays for Young Audiences

Join us for an evening of one-act plays for children and youth, featuring Shirley Lauro's Sunday Go to Meetin'. This turn of the century ten-minute play deals with prejudice, immigration and survival in small town America. This production will also include a stage adaptation of The Shakespeare Stealer by Gary L. Blackwood.

David: A Play with Psalms
Adapted from Scripture and directed by Joy-Elizabeth Lawrence and Amanda Ytzen
With original music by Matthew Gruppen
In this adaptation of texts from I and II Samuel, King David's life is explored through the use of Scripture text as script. In this production, you will see favorite stories of David (the anointing of David by Samuel, David and Goliath) as well as ones seldom heard in church (Amnon and Tamar, the death of Absalom). This musical features original settings of sung Psalms by Calvin College alumnus composer Matthew Gruppen.
