Overview

This North American premiere by Hungarian National playwright, András Visky, is an existential comedy that asks how we might transcend the destruction of humanity. An everyman figure, returning home from a prison camp, finds himself unable to re-integrate into culture and society. Set in the aftermath of WWII, this play explores the meaning of imprisonment, and how the Grace of relationships gives us hope and sustains us through the bleakest moments of existence.

This is the North American premiere of Backborn, by renowned Hungarian playwright András Visky, is produced in collaboration with the Festival of Faith and Writing.
