Overview
The year is 1400—give or take a year or two. A world weary veteran of the Hundred Years’ War longs to be free of his life, so he implicates himself for murder and applies to the Mayor to be hung – but no one will grant his wish and hang him!
A wealthy, beautiful young woman, fond of life, is accused of turning a man into a dog, but the more she protests her innocence, the more the witch-mad townspeople are convinced she’s guilty.
They meet in the chambers of a befuddled Mayor and his frantic, foolish household and fall in love.
It’s a comedy. It’s a love story. A gentle spring-time romance in Renaissance style.
