Graduate with honors in communication arts and sciences
Digital communication
To graduate with honors in digital communication, one must:
Earn a grade of B+ or better in six honors courses (to total at least 18 semester hours) including at least two courses in the digital communication major, one of which must be a 300-level course. To have a course count as an honors course, the student and professor must create a contract for honors work. At least two honors courses must be outside of CAS.

maintain a GPA of 3.5 both in the digital communication major and overall.

present to the department or to the public an honors paper or project in one’s senior year, usually during the spring semester.
Film and media studies
To graduate with honors in film and media studies one must:
Earn a grade of B+ or better in six honors courses, to total at least 18 semester hours, including at least two courses in the film and media studies major, one of which must be a 300-level course. To have a course count as an honors course, the student and professor must create a contract for honors work. At least two honors courses must be outside of CAS.

Media production
To graduate with honors in media production, one must:

Organizational communication
To graduate with honors in organizational communication on must:
Earn a grade of B+ or better in at least six honors courses (18 hours) overall with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. To have a course count as an honors course, the student and professor must create a contract for honors work.

earn a grade of B+ or better in at least two honors courses in BUS and two in CAS

complete at least two honors courses outside the major (i.e. neither CAS nor BUS).

present an honors thesis or project either in BUS 390H with a grade of at least B (3.0) or a CAS 300-level course, with a presentation to the CAS department.
Speech pathology and audiology
To graduate with honors in speech pathology and audiology one must:
Earn a grade of B+ or better in six honors courses, to total at least 18 semester hours, including at least two courses in the SPAUD major, one of which must be a 300-level course. To have a course count as an honors course, the student and professor must create a contract for honors work. At least two honors courses must be outside of CAS.

Strategic communication
To graduate with honors in strategic communication one must:
Earn a grade of B+ or better in six honors courses, to total at least 18 semester hours, including at least two courses in the strategic communication major, one of which must be a 300-level course. To have a course count as an honors course, the student and professor must create a contract for honors work. At least two honors courses must be outside of CAS.

Theatre
To graduate with honors in theatre one must:

present to the department, or to the public, an honors paper or creative project in one’s junior or senior year.
The communication arts and sciences department regularly offers honors sections of CAS 101 and CAS 140. Other courses may be taken for honors credit by arrangement with the professor.
