Accounting Professor wins Best Practice Presentation
Assistant Professor of Accounting Sheri Geddes received the top award for Best Practice Presentation at the Christian Business Faculty Association conference in Lakeland, FL, on Oct. 21-23. Prof. Geddes was recognized for her presentation "Cost Accounting and the Easy Bake Oven," which involved a micro-teaching example using an actual Easy Bake Oven, carried to Florida in Prof. Geddes' suitcase for her presentation.
In addition to her award-winning presentation, Prof. Geddes was fully engaged in the conference as 1) a co-author of a study presented with two colleagues; 2) a session moderator; and 3) co-author of a paper presented with another colleague.
