The Business Department offers a variety of experiential learning opportunities to enhance a student's classroom knowledge. These experiences are offered on both an introductory and advanced level designed to meet each student's educational goals. Students work in their field of interest and are required to attend classroom seminars to enhance their work experience. Internships may be taken as early as the sophmore year and are offered each semester as well as in the summer. All of these program features are designed to give our accounting, business and economics students practical experience in addition to a strong theoretical grounding.
Does my work count for academic credit?
Students may participate in the internship program on a credit or noncredit basis. For-credit internships have certain academic requirements and students must complete a minimum number of work hours.
Where would I be working?
Most work experiences take place in West Michigan, but some summer experiences have been found in Chicago, New York, Boston, and throughout the United States. Summer course work is completed online.
