Every high rise building in China, of which there are perhaps a million, needs pumps to get the water up to the residences or offices. CNNTIAN makes these pumps. This company was started a while back by three entrepreneurs. They make and sell pumps. We met with all three of them at their offices in Shanghai. Of course they told us all about pumps... but also talked about why they started their own company. The senior partner said if you want to work hard then start your own company and if you want the easy life then work for someone else. I am sure this is the simplified version since he was speaking Chinese and we were hearing English. But I was thinking he is not much different than an American entreprenuer!
