We spent the morning with Prof Ten Harmsel, who lives in Beijing and is the director of Calvin's Semester in China program. He explained the history of China, the history of Chinese philosophy and religions, the history of Christianity in China and finally the current events in Christianity in china. Of course this was the short version of all of the above since Chinese history is long and action filled. There are many estimates of how many Christians there are in China, but he thinks 80mm to possibly as much as 150mm is the right ball park. He said China probably has more Christians than any other country.... and more non Christians than any other country.
