Flat Iron Lake Nature Preserve
Recently donated to Calvin College by Fritz Rottman ’59 and his wife Carol, this 65 acre preserve includes these features:
- 25-acre kettle lake
- deciduous forest with vernal pools
- 20-acre created prairie
- nature center and research facility used by biology classes and summer research students
- located 25 miles north of Calvin's campus
