Johanna Kempers Wyngaarden
Scholarship
In gratitude to God for His blessings over the years, Dr. James B. Wyngaarden
has established this scholarship to honor his mother, Johanna Kempers
Wyngaarden. The purpose of this scholarship is to strengthen Christian
education in music and fine arts at Calvin College by providing funds
for scholarships for worthy students.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
•
Applicant must be admitted to or enrolled at Calvin College.
•
Applicant must plan to enroll full-time at Calvin College the following year.
•
Applicant is an Art, Art Education or Art History Major.
•
Preference given to the candidate who demonstrates the greatest financial need.
•
Candidates must show exceptional promise and leadership potential.
•
Selection: first consideration given to art studio major; second consideration to an art education major; third consideration to art history majors.
One scholarship
of $5,600 was awarded for 2009-2010.
