Art Alumni News...

David Malda (2004), a graduate student at the University of Virginia, has been selected as National Olmsted Scholar. David is pursuing a dual master's degree in Landscape and Building Architecture. He plans to use the award to develop a report and online forum on the health of urban landscapes.
Malda was selected from a national pool of graduate and undergraduate students who were nominated by their faculty as student leaders in sustainable design and planning. The 28 students who were nominated for the national award earned the designation of 2009 University Olmsted Scholars, a program initiated in 2008 to honor the work of today's student leaders in sustainable design and planning.
