101 Introduction to the History of Art I (4). F. This course surveys the history of the visual arts from the Paleolithic era to the Renaissance. Although this course concentrates primarily on the development of the historical and religious traditions of Europe, the artistic traditions of non-Western cultures are also addressed. The course is intended for first- and second-year students.
