Josh Kuipers is currently an interdisciplinary major at Calvin College. He is studying religion, sociology, and Swahili. A year after graduating high school, Kuipers spent 8 months in Kibera, Kenya serving with Adventures in Missions. During that time he worked closely with a local pastor of a Pentecostal church. It is in that church that a passion for African Christianity was planted in him. Following that year Kuipers began studying Biblical Studies at Columbia Bible College and eventually transferred to Calvin College. This summer Kuipers has been working with a church in Artesia, California as an intern pastor. In the future he hopes to continue in a lifestyle of ministry whether in theological training in East Africa, or in a pastoral or teaching ministry within North America.
