Tibebe Eshete

Tibebe Eshete holds a doctorate in History from Michigan State University and has taught African history at Calvin College for three years. A recipient of the Compton Peace Fellowship Award, Eshete’s research interests include African History (Ancient to Modern); Ethiopian History; Africa and the Contemporary World; New Religious Movements in Africa; and, Somalia. His most recent publications include The Silent Revolution: The Role of Community Development in Reducing the Demand for Small Arms (2000) and The Evangelical Movement in Ethiopia: Resistance and Resilience (2009).
