Christiana DeGroot, Professor of Religion at Calvin College, received an MA in Divinity from the University of Chicago and a PhD from the University of Notre Dame. She has taught various courses including Biblical Literature and Theology; Pentateuch; Prophets; When Women Read the Old Testament; and Male and Female He Created Them: Biblical Portraits of Gender. Her research focus is on recovering the history of women's interpretation of scripture. Her most recent publication is a co-edited volume titled Recovering Nineteenth-Century Women Interpreters of the Bible. Atlanta: Society of Biblical Literature Press, 2007.
