Program Information
As a student in ACE International you will live in the dorms on Calvin’s beautiful campus and eat your meals in the cafeteria. You will spend 4 hours in the class room daily, and have access to student tutors during after class study time. You will have use of the library and computer facilities as well as other student campus facilities. Beyond the classroom and campus setting, you will have the opportunity to take part in casual conversation through activities like friendly dinners with host families, local sightseeing, service projects, and student life activities.
Program Dates
The program begins June 20; students can move into the dorms on campus at 1:00pm. The program ends on July 18, 2010.
Course Offerings
Students will take one of two courses taught by Calvin professors and aided by Calvin tutors.
Cost
The complete program fee is $2,995.00.
Program fee includes
- One Academic Course
- Housing: housing in a Calvin residence
- Meals: three meals each day
- Two off-campus excursions
- Local cultural and student life outings

- Transportation during the ACE for Program sponsored events and trips

- Medical insurance, which must be purchased by the student prior to their arrival in the United States and documented on your arrival.
Payment in full is due after you have been accepted into the program. Included in the letter of acceptance will be instructions on how to wire your payment. The fee is refundable if you are unable to acquire your visa in time.
Cultural Experiences and Excursions
We will spend the last weekend of the program in Chicago, Illinois and you will depart from there. You will be invited to dinner by local host families. There will be opportunities for you to participate in outings with Calvin students and hosts like trips to area malls, restaurants, movies, bowling, museums, churches, parks, and other local attractions.
Application/Requirements
Applying students must complete the ACE International Program application and return it with required documentation by April 1, 2010. Students must also obtain a visa and pay the SEVIS fee.
