  • Security
Maintaining a secure computer environment at Calvin is more than just protecting your computer from viruses, spyware, and hackers, it's also about protecting the sensitive college information to which you have access. While Calvin CIT works hard to make the network as secure as possible, you must do your part.

  • Service Level Agreements (SLA)
CIT's success is founded upon the correct setting and meeting of customer expectations.  We do this through a clear and concise description of what services we offer in the form of a Service Level Agreement (SLA) . An SLA defines what specific services CIT provides to the Calvin community and the timeframe in which customers can expect to have their requests handled.

  • Smart Classrooms

  • Software
A variety of productivity and academic software packages are available for faculty, staff, and student use. Calvin uses the Microsoft Office suite of software: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access. Macromedia's Dreamweaver and Fireworks are used for for web development.
  • Software updates and patches
One of the ways CIT maintains the security of your office computer is by pushing software updates and patches to it. Sometimes these updates and patches run “silently” and it won't disrupt your work. Sometimes these updates and patches require some action on your part.
