The statistical software that we will use in Mathematics 243 is called R. R is powerful and free. R is installed on various computers on campus including the mathematics lab in the basement of North Hall and the engineering computer labs. If at all possible, you should download and install it on your own computer. If your connection to the internet is slow, ask your instructor for a CD with an installable copy of the software.
