On Feb. 14, 2002, I was awarded the
Presidential Exemplary Teaching Award. [Here's what

A number of people have
asked that I make two items available, both related to the awards ceremony.
I hesitate to do so because it seems self-serving and inappropriate.
Please understand that I have put them here only to make them available
to those who have asked and not to publish them to
the world.
