Entertainment

Many of my hobbies revolve around entertainment. These pages contains reviews of various tv shows, movies, books, and the like that I've experienced. To understand these opinions (and perhaps to understand me better), it's useful to know my attitudes towards entertainment.

Playing Music

Through grade school and high school I played the French horn. I haven't played in a couple of years, but I keep thinking I will.

I also played the piano, and still do occasionally.

In college I joined a musical group that played music from the Renaissance and earlier. I love this music, and I quite enjoyed the group. I'd love to join a similar group again.

I also sing. I'm a tenor. Currently, I sing with the Calvin College Oratorio Society. Every fall we sing The Messiah by Handel, and each spring we sing a different work.

Cooking

My only real cooking hobby is cooking pizza.
